If you’re planning barrier protection for your factory, warehouse, or yard, one of the most common questions we hear is: “What types of barriers do you offer, and how much do they cost?”

Let’s walk through the types of barriers we supply, typical starting prices, and what else might affect the cost of your installation, so you can budget with confidence.

What types of barriers do Clarity offer?

At Clarity, we supply and install MPM’s industry-leading polymer safety barriers across the UK.

These include:

  • Pedestrian Barriers (e.g. PED90, PED150): Ideal for walkways and staff-only zones

  • Kerbs & Low-Level Barriers: For racking protection and fork guard

  • Vehicle Segregation Barriers: Including Bflex and heavy-duty traffic barrier systems

  • Column & Wall Protectors

  • Gates and Access Control Barriers

We specialise in impact-resistant, modular polymer systems that absorb energy, reduce damage, and outlast traditional steel options. Download our brochure below to explore our full range.

What are the typical starting prices?

Prices vary based on configuration, size, and layout; but here’s a rough guide (excluding installation & delivery):

  • PED90 barrier system: From £150 per metre

  • Standard kerbs: From £90 per metre

  • Bflex vehicle barriers: From £250–£300 per metre

  • Safeway automated safety gates: From £1,100+ depending on sensor options

💡 The more you install, the more cost-effective it becomes per metre. Bulk orders reduce manufacturing and shipping costs, which we pass on to you.

What factors increase barrier project cost?

Here’s what typically bumps up the price beyond the standard per-metre rate:

  • Cuts and Offcuts: Custom lengths can lead to more wastage and labour

  • Corners: Each corner section often includes a special post and extra time

  • Gates: Manual or automated gates can add £300–£1,000+ depending on type

  • Fixings: Tarmac vs concrete ground types require different kits

  • Customisation: Colours, signage, and height adjustments may cost more

What does installation cost?

If you'd prefer a fully installed solution, our experienced installation team can handle the whole process - from delivery to sign-off.

  • Typical installation cost: £1,000/day

  • Most standard installations take 1–2 days, depending on the site and access

  • Install pricing includes travel, labour, fixings, and tooling

So... how much should I budget?

Most customers spend between £1,500 and £10,000+ depending on the scope and complexity of their project. For reference:

  • A small walkway (10m, 2 corners) with kerbs and gates may cost ~£2,000

  • A large, multi-area factory fit-out with traffic segregation may cost £10k–£25k+

But your exact cost depends on your layout — and that’s where we come in.

We’ll work with your budget, site, and goals to design a system that gives you the best value per metre — without compromising safety.
