How Does Clarity’s Detection System Work?

Clarity’s Robus microwave detector provides customisable detection settings that activate alerts, warnings, or access restrictions only when necessary. This ensures a safer and more efficient working environment.

   

Detection Modes Available

  • Pedestrian Traffic Only – Notifies forklift operators when pedestrians are nearby. Useful in truck loading zones or areas where HGV drivers may exit their cabs. Can also prevent forklifts from entering restricted spaces by controlling automatic doors.
  • Forklift Traffic Only – Alerts pedestrians when a forklift is in the area. Can automatically replace zebra crossings with stop signs when an FLT is detected.
  • Approach-Only Detection Prevents unnecessary activation of floor projections or warning signs. Ensures that stop signs and safety alerts trigger only when a vehicle or person is moving towards the detection area.
  • Departing-Only Detection – Detects when a forklift is leaving an area, ensuring stop signs deactivate when no longer needed. Reduces delays for pedestrians and vehicles.
  • Bi-Directional Traffic – Detects movement from all directions, useful for open warehouse layouts.
  • Built-in Timer Function – Controls how long projections or warning systems remain active, adjustable from 0.5 seconds to 5 minutes. Reduces distractions and ensures relevant warnings are shown only when necessary.
