When vehicles don’t stop for pedestrians, near misses become accidents.
Our intelligent crossings put people first, without slowing your site down.

The Problem: busy and dangerous external vehicle crossings
Every site is busy, but where pedestrians and vehicles share the same crossing, the risks multiply. Unlike controlled internal routes, external crossings face additional challenges:
- High Traffic Flow (Delivery trucks, FLT's and pedestrians all converge at the same point)
- Limited Visibility (Blind spots and weather conditions or obstructed pedestrian walkways make it harder for drivers to see pedestrians)
- Human Error (Drivers assume right of way, pedestrians take the shortest route to save time)
The Solution: An automated pedestrian priority crossing
By designing a crossing that gives pedestrians the priority they need, whilst also bearing in mind the busy traffic flow through the crossing, you create an environment that is safe and efficient for everyone. Why does this work?
- Clear Priority (Pedestrians are given safe, controlled passage - Just like a pelican crossing)
- Driver Compliance (Barriers and traffic lights remove guesswork, making it impossible for drivers to ignore crossings.)
- Faster, safer flow (Drivers only have to stop when necessary meaning no false stops. This keeps yards efficient whilst protecting your people.)
How does it work?
1. Crossing in its default position. Vehicles allowed to cross, but pedestrian gates are locked.
2. The Pedestrian Gate remains locked until all vehicle traffic has stopped.
3. Once traffic has stopped, the pedestrian gate will unlock allowing pedestrians to cross safely.
4. The pedestrian gate re-locks to make sure no pedestrians are able to access the crossing area.
5. Crossing returns to default position where vehicles are free to cross.

'What I really love about this crossing is that it makes pedestrians take responsibility. They have to press the button to get from A to B, which means they can’t just dart across or take shortcuts. It creates a safe habit and keeps everyone more alert.’
